An expanding building services contractor is seeking an experienced HVAC Maintenance Engineer to support the delivery of reactive and planned works across a national portfolio of commercial clients. This is a hands-on role focused on fault finding, compliance, servicing and minor installations. The position offers long-term stability, structured development and genuine progression as the business continues to grow its national footprint. The successful candidate will operate independently across client sites, maintaining high technical standards and ensuring systems remain safe, compliant and fully operational.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend commercial sites to diagnose and repair faults across heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems
- Carry out detailed fault finding across mechanical and electrical components
- Investigate and resolve BMS-related control issues where required
- Complete reactive works in line with contractual SLAs and compliance standards
- Provide clear reporting following site attendance
- Deliver scheduled PPM across split systems, VRF systems, AHUs, heat pumps and ventilation plant
- Conduct system performance checks and diagnostics
- Undertake refrigerant recovery, leak detection and pressure testing in accordance with F-Gas regulations
- Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and submitted in a timely manner
- Install and commission split systems, VRF systems, AHUs, heat pumps and ventilation equipment
- Carry out system modifications and small project works where required
- Ensure all installations comply with current legislation and industry standards
Essential Criteria
- F-Gas Category 1 Certification (City and Guilds 2079 or equivalent)
- Minimum 3 years experience within commercial HVAC maintenance
- Strong working knowledge of split systems, VRF systems, AHUs, heat pumps and ventilation plant
- Proven reactive fault-finding capability
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
