Role Overview

An opportunity has arisen for a Quality Assurance Officer to join a quality and operational performance team supporting accommodation services across a large property and maintenance contract. Working within a team of five and reporting to the Contract Quality Manager, the role combines data analysis with operational involvement across sites. The successful candidate will play a key role in analysing performance data, validating operational information and identifying opportunities to improve service delivery across the contract. Although the role is primarily homebased, the position requires regular travel across the Home Counties and South East to carry out site visits, audits and engagement with operational teams. The role is well suited to someone with strong analytical capability and advanced Excel skills who is comfortable working with data but also engaging directly with operational teams to support quality and performance improvements. Training and development within quality assurance and continuous improvement will be supported, including opportunities to undertake Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt and Green Belt qualifications following successful completion of probation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse operational and performance data to identify trends, risks and opportunities for service improvement across the contract.
  • Validate and interpret data from operational systems to ensure accuracy, consistency and reliability of reporting.
  • Produce clear and structured reports to support performance monitoring, assurance activity and operational decision making.
  • Conduct audits and quality inspections across operational sites to ensure activities are delivered in line with contractual requirements and company procedures.
  • Undertake assurance sampling on completed inspections and operational activities to verify accuracy and quality of service delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting within internal systems including CAFM and contract management platforms.
  • Support the development and implementation of the Contract Quality Plan, ensuring audit findings and service issues are translated into improvement actions.
  • Work closely with operational teams and supply chain partners to ensure consistent application of quality standards and contractual processes.
  • Deliver training and guidance to operational colleagues and contractors on quality processes, assurance procedures and reporting requirements.
  • Attend operational and performance meetings, providing insight into quality trends, risks and improvement opportunities.
  • Travel regularly across operational sites throughout Oxfordshire, Hampshire and the wider South East to support audits, inspections and stakeholder engagement.

Experience & Skills

  • Experience within a data analysis, business analysis or quality assurance role.
  • Strong analytical capability with advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience analysing and validating operational data and producing clear, structured reports.
  • Ability to communicate findings and insights to operational teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience working within housing, property services, facilities management or a contract-based environment would be beneficial.
  • Understanding of quality assurance processes, audit activity or performance monitoring.
  • Full UK driving licence due to travel requirements.
