Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:30 (Early Finish on Fridays)

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum (Dependent on Experience)

The Role

Seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our clients Operations & Maintenance team at RAF Menwith Hill. This is a hands-on role involving the installation, maintenance, and repair of critical mechanical systems such as boilers, cooling towers, generators, pumps, and compressed air systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fault-finding, calibration, and testing of plant equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Maintenance of the water treatment plant for cooling towers.
  • Inspecting and reassembling boilers and air receivers.
  • Supporting the wider team with mechanical maintenance tasks across the site.

What We're Looking For

  • NVQ Level 3 qualification or recognised apprenticeship in mechanical engineering.
  • Three or more years experience in mechanical maintenance.
  • Emergency First Aid at Work certification (preferred).
  • Experience with large generator sets and controls (advantageous).
  • Knowledge of CMMS systems for maintenance management (desirable).
  • IT literacy, including Microsoft Office applications.

Security Clearance Requirement: Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be a UK or US national and capable of obtaining DV Enhanced Security Clearance.
