Our client is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee the delivery of hard facilities management services within a large acute hospital environment. This is a senior leadership position responsible for ensuring the safe, compliant and efficient operation of the estate, managing engineering teams and maintaining critical infrastructure that supports the day-to-day delivery of healthcare services.

The successful candidate will lead the operational delivery of planned and reactive maintenance across mechanical, electrical and building fabric disciplines, ensuring statutory compliance, contractual performance and engineering best practice are consistently achieved. Working closely with NHS stakeholders, internal management teams and specialist contractors, you will play a key role in maintaining service continuity, driving operational improvements and supporting the long-term performance of the hospital estate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the day-to-day delivery of hard facilities management services across the hospital estate, ensuring planned preventative maintenance, reactive maintenance and statutory inspections are completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with contractual requirements.
  • Manage Engineering Team Leaders, Supervisors and multidisciplinary engineering teams, providing leadership, technical guidance, performance management and ongoing support to ensure high standards of service delivery.
  • Oversee the maintenance of mechanical, electrical and building fabric assets, ensuring critical infrastructure remains fully operational to support uninterrupted clinical services.
  • Ensure full compliance with all statutory legislation, healthcare engineering standards, HTMs, Health.
