Physician Assistant/Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Neuro Critical Care

Description MaineHealth Maine Medical Center in Portland, ME, is recruiting for a Physician Assistant (PA) or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) to join our Neuro Critical Care (NCC) team. The PA or ACNP will perform daily rounds with a team of fellows, residents, and students, develop and implement care plans, order and interpret diagnostic studies, and handle procedures, admissions, discharges, and family meetings. This dynamic and evolving setting offers opportunities for research and quality initiatives in Medical, Neuro, and Surgical Critical Care. The role involves participation in educational activities such as grand rounds, teaching rounds, journal clubs, case conferences, and morbidity and mortality reviews. A commitment to lifelong learning, teaching, and interdisciplinary care is essential. It offers scheduled learning, assessments, and mentorship, with biannual cohorts in April and October, each enrolling two APP residents to foster peer support and leadership.
