The HVAC Mechanic role is primarily responsible for the repair and maintenance of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment to ensure optimal operating condition.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Education: Apprenticeship and/or post-secondary education with courses in air conditioning/refrigeration, electrical wiring and controls, plumbing, blueprint reading, and/or boiler operation preferred.
  • License/Certifications: State License as a Boiler Operator, 3rd or 4th Class, and/or Stationary Steam Engineer within one year of start date required. Valid Driver's License required.
  • Experience: At least three years of experience in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) or a related field required.
  • Additional Skills/Requirements: N/A
