Description Maine Medical Center Professional – Clinical Req #: 13510 Summary This position focuses on providing high-quality patient care, education, and research for oncology patients at Maine Medical Center. Core Functions Work collaboratively as part of interdisciplinary teams to enhance medication use quality by optimizing drug selection, ensuring safe medication practices, and reducing drug expenditures. Assess the appropriateness of therapeutics Provide alternative regimens as needed Integrate laboratory and clinical data to assess therapeutic progression Identify drug interactions and pharmacokinetic issues Communicate directly with patients and/or their families regarding all aspects of oncology to promote knowledge, engagement, and adherence. Serve as a resource for drug information during and after rounds to healthcare providers. Support pharmacy student and residency programs (PGY-1 and PGY-2 pharmacists). Minimum Qualifications Education: The Clinical Pharmacist reviews medication orders for safety and efficacy, collaborates with healthcare professionals, and makes evidence-based recommendations. Licenses/Certifications: Current applicable state pharmacy license required. Experience: Previous pharmacist experience preferred.
