Description Maine Medical Center Department: Nursing Req #: 25122 This is a bargaining unit position. Positions Available: 14 Job Posting Date: 3/13/2025 Shift: FT/Nights Sign-on Bonus: For a limited time, MaineHealth is offering up to $10,000 sign-on bonus for eligible Registered Nurses with 1-2 years of experience and $20,000 for those with more than 2 years of experience. Eligible candidates are hired into a full or part-time RN position. Bonus amounts are prorated for part-time hires. Per diem hires are ineligible. Current MaineHealth employees are ineligible; former employees are ineligible until more than 6 months of separation. Summary The Clinical Nurse supports Maine Medical Center\’s mission, vision, and values by demonstrating excellence, competence, collaboration, innovation, respect, patient and family-centered care, community commitment, and accountability. Responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, documentation, and evaluation of nursing care, in accordance with national standards and institutional policies. Care may be provided across inpatient, outpatient, ambulatory, and community settings. Minimum Qualifications Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Evidence of 10 hours of ongoing education annually. Licenses/Certifications: Current Maine RN license. Relevant specialty certification preferred. Experience: Minimum 1 year RN experience. Critical care, pediatrics, behavioral health, or ED experience strongly preferred. Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of nursing principles, effective communication, analytical skills for patient condition assessment, crisis management, caring practice, and technical skills for diverse patient populations.
