Maine Medical Center Department: Nursing/Clinical Support

Schedule: Full-time, Night Shift

Shifts: 3 12-hour shifts per week

Weekends: Required

MaineHealth is offering sign-on bonuses for Clinical Nursing Assistants (CNA):

  • $2,500 for 0-1 years of experience (full time)
  • $4,000 for 1+ years of experience (full time)

Bonuses are prorated for part-time hires; per diem hires are ineligible. Current MaineHealth employees are ineligible; former employees are ineligible until more than 6 months after separation.

Unit Bio: This 10-bed intensive care unit (SCU3) is seeking additional clinical staff. The team values patient care excellence, communication, and professional growth. The unit primarily cares for surgical patients with head trauma, intracranial bleeds, seizures, and strokes.

Job Summary: Under supervision of Registered Nurses and following policies, performs duties such as taking vital signs, assisting with hygiene and activities of daily living. Duties may vary by assignment. Must consider the needs of specific patient populations. The CNA II assists in nursing care delivery to designated patients under RN supervision, performing direct and indirect care duties.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Current applicable state CNA license required.
  • Current BLS certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of start date.

Experience: 0-6 months CNA experience; on-the-job training provided.
