For a limited time, MaineHealth is offering up to $10,000 sign-on bonus for all eligible Behavioral Health Clinicians! Current MaineHealth employee members are ineligible; former members are ineligible until more than 3 months of separation from employment. Bonuses may be prorated based on schedule.

Licensure in Maine as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Behavioral Health Clinician II to join our care team at Maine Medical Center - Portland in the Acute Psychiatric Care Unit of the Emergency Department. The clinician must be able to establish rapport quickly with diverse patients, possess excellent diagnostic skills, multitask in a fast-paced environment, communicate effectively with colleagues, family, and outpatient providers, utilize crisis intervention skills, and have knowledge of community resources and systems.

Summary

The Behavioral Health Clinician II, working under an independent license, provides comprehensive care and support to clients with behavioral health needs. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing direct care through individual, group, and family therapy sessions.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Education: Master's Degree in Social Work, Clinical Counseling, Addiction Treatment, or related field
  • License/Certifications: Licensed LCPC, LCSW, or LMFT from the Maine Office of Professional and Occupational Regulation (OPOR)
  • Experience: At least two years of behavioral health experience, including employment as a conditionally licensed clinician
