£40,000 per annum. 1 Year Fixed-Term Office Based – London office – 5 days per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver IT infrastructure services to Team members and other supported organisations to ensure that Colleagues of the IT team are satisfied with the IT service.
- Ensure that support tickets are managed and dealt with within the agreed timescales, ensuring all systems are functioning optimally and securely.
- Escalations to the third line support and second line support as needed.
- Determine through liaising with Team colleagues the need for additional or modified IT services to provide an improved service to the Team.
- Maintain the security software of laptops, desktops, and tablet computers to prevent unauthorised access and block any threats from installation.
- Create, manage, and administer accounts on related systems to ensure the integrity.
- Document the systems used, new systems installed and systems decommissioned.
- Provide advice, guidance, training and documented instructions to all members of the Team on matters relating to IT, reducing time lost waiting for IT to respond to issues.
- Participate in implementing IT projects as required by the IT Infrastructure Manager and be an active SME participant engaged collaboratively with the IT team.
- Mentor, support and supervise the IT Engineer to enable them to improve their skills, experience, and responsiveness.
- Assist in managing the endpoint equipment delivery.
- Provide cover for the IT Infrastructure Manager as required to enable the IT team to operate when there are absences or during high workloads.
- Any other duties, appropriate to the grade of the post, as requested by the IT Infrastructure Manager and the Head of IT.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience supporting enterprise infrastructure platforms and software, including but not limited to: Windows Server, Active Directory, Windows 11, Backup, Monitoring/SNMP, SMTP/Exchange, Web Server/IIS, Dell Servers and storage, Printers/Papercut, Office 365, MS 365.
- Experience in server administration, database administration and application support.
- Experienced in IT support services and ticketing, as well as laptop and mobile phone support and networking configuration.
- Excellent communicator with the ability to communicate technical issues to all levels.
- Advanced problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Customer service skills demonstrated through communication, knowledge, attention to detail and ability to get things done.
- Strong organisational skills including planning, prioritising, timekeeping and managing busy workloads and ticketing systems working to prioritise.
- Flexible to changing situations and timings.
