We're hiring a Senior Event Manager in London (Hybrid). An exciting opportunity has opened with Main Street Events - a boutique B2B event agency that delivers strategic, creative, and production-led events for global brands across sectors including tech, finance, legal, and automotive. We are a small, ambitious team experiencing high growth, trusted by senior stakeholders to lead and deliver flagship activations, retreats, summits, and experiential campaigns.

We're seeking an experienced professional who is ready to take absolute ownership of complex events, identify new opportunities, and mentor junior team members. This is a critical client-facing role, managing multiple projects across the UK, US, and Europe.

Key Responsibilities:
  • End-to-End Event Project Management: Manage the full event lifecycle, taking ownership of projects from the initial briefing stage through to onsite execution, leading the pitching process, and driving strategic concept development.
  • Client Relationship Management: Lead client calls, manage expectations, and act as a senior advisor, easily adjusting to diverse client needs and work styles across the UK and US - with some flexibility around the timezone(s) for occasional late calls, travel, and so on.
  • Financial & Timeline Control: Create, manage, and reconcile event budgets, track expenses efficiently, and hold complete, proactive ownership of all large-scale budgets and internal/external timelines.
  • Logistics & Supplier Management: Own venue sourcing, supplier liaison, production coordination, and vendor negotiation while implementing best practices across international supplier networks.
  • Onsite Execution: Create clear show flows, detailed briefing documents, and comprehensive run-of-show plans, travelling internationally to support onsite delivery as required.
  • Workflow & Leadership: Work across multiple events simultaneously and maintain calm under pressure while leading by example, inspiring the project team, and providing day-to-day guidance.
What we're looking for:
  • 6+ years of extensive event management experience, specifically taking projects from the initial pitch through to final execution and post-event evaluation.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering for both UK and US clients, alongside experience working on international events - in particular the US.
  • Highly independent, feeling comfortable owning budgets, logistics, and execution with limited guidance.
  • Confident communicator (written and verbal) with meticulous attention to detail, running client calls, and managing timelines.
  • Able to travel internationally, including solo travel and time onsite with clients.
  • Hands-on, adaptable mindset, remaining collaborative, and positive in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment.
  • Technical familiarity with production and AV terminology.
  • Tool proficiency using project and budget management tools like Procim, Monday, or similar.
  • High emotional intelligence and empathy for your project team members, paired with a calm and flexible approach to handling pressure.
The role offers:
  • Hybrid working: Full-time (Monday to Friday), with a minimum of two days per week from our London office.
  • International travel opportunities alongside flexibility for occasional out-of-core-hours calls.
  • 25 days annual leave plus UK Bank Holidays (with 3 days reserved for our Christmas closure), plus generous TOIL for out-of-hours event travel.
  • Company pension scheme.
  • Frequent additional benefits such as employee recognition vouchers and discounts - as we scale, these scales with us.

If this sounds like your next move we'd love to hear from you.
