The predicted salary is between 12 - 14 £ per hour.
Working at either of our two Bradford sites, BD5 7SG and BD12 0RG. £12.45 - £13.70p/h, depending on experience. Paid weekly. Shifts could be 6am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm or anything in-between.
We are the UK’s leading independent contract packer, supporting international and aspirational brands that operate within a variety of sectors. Our co-Packing Services have been developed to take the customer's product from concept to consumer and include bagging, flow wrapping, shrink sleeving, gift-set assembly, promotional packaging design and supply. We work on all sizes of projects, from short runs to all year-round projects.
You will work as part of the operations team on the production floor, leading a team of 5-20 people. You will follow the job instructions to transform raw stock into a finished product. Through mentoring, you will ensure that your line meets the required output while maintaining a high standard of quality and leading by example, sustaining a safe working environment.
The successful Team Leader will be responsible for:
- Completing Health and Safety checks and paperwork.
- Ensuring staff in your supervision are working safely.
- Following job specifications to ensure final products meet all the requirements.
- Ensuring all daily paperwork is completed and accurate in accordance with company procedures.
- Managing production lines, meeting production targets, and adhering to quality and safety standards.
- Ensuring GMP (good manufacturing practices) and housekeeping (clean as you go).
- Monitoring, controlling and minimising waste.
- Effectively motivating a team of people to meet production targets.
- Effectively using the integrated management system.
- Having a clear understanding of targets and quality to be achieved.
- Attending team leader meetings.
- Using lean techniques to improve lines.
The successful Team Leader will demonstrate:
- Experience as a Team Leader / Line Leader – ideally within a Food/Packaging environment.
- Good health and safety awareness.
- A flexible approach and a proactive attitude.
- Strong verbal and communication skills.
