Mail Metro Media is the advertising home of some of the UK’s most engaged newsbrands: Daily Mail, The Mail on Sunday, MailOnline, Metro, The i Paper, New Scientist and The Telegraph (print products). The team provides a single point of contact across print, digital, audio, video and social, allowing agencies and advertisers easy access to the millions of consumers who engage with dmg media’s brands every day.

Main Responsibilities

  • Deliver market leading category and event-based market research
  • Deliver insights that prove the effectiveness of advertising campaigns with Mail Metro Media
  • Providing actionable audience insights for reactive and proactive brief responses
  • Create compelling insight-focussed sales materials
  • Extract insights from our Matters reader community through qualitative and quantitative research
  • Bringing insight to life through effective storytelling
  • Extracting insights from our third-party sources of insight (i.e. TGI, Mintel, PAMCo)
  • Extracting insights from our first-party sources of insight (i.e. reader community, Google Analytics)
  • Assisting in the day-to-day management of our reader community (i.e. writing tasks, setting up tasks, responding to readers, delivering community newsletters)
  • Writing, scripting and launching surveys
  • Delivering campaign effectiveness studies from start to finish (i.e. writing, scripting, launching, analysing and presenting the results to clients)
  • Day-to-day management of specified advertiser category (i.e. charities, lotteries), including building relationships with key internal stakeholders, receiving briefs and presenting results.
  • Updating marketing decks with the latest audience stats
  • Providing the relevant insights for brief responses and subsequent reach and frequency analysis.

Person Specification

Experience

  • Knowledge of / experience with using industry insight tools (i.e. TGI, Mintel, Telmar, PAMCo)
  • Knowledge of / experience of qualitative research (i.e. writing discussion guides, interviews, focus groups etc)
  • Knowledge of / experience digital analytic software (i.e. Google Analytics)
  • Knowledge of the advertising marketplace

  • Strong mathematical and analytic skills
