Are you an experienced Product Consultant who enjoys combining product expertise with client engagement? In this role, you’ll support presales activities through platform demos, solution proposals, and capturing client requirements for new opportunities and projects. Main Purpose of the Role
This role will play a crucial part in supporting incremental opportunities from both existing clients and new opportunities. Through the delivery of Platform Demos, creation of Solution Proposals, completion of Requirements Catalogues, and authoring of technical responses in support of bids, the Product Consultant will support across all presales activity. The Product Consultant will collaborate closely with clients and colleagues to ensure we accurately capture requirements in scope for projects, change requests, platform developments, and new opportunities. This role is integral to ensuring we capture clients’ requirements in a clear and consistent manner to allow us to brief this into Change Delivery for client project activity and Product Development where Platform enhancements are required.
Role Description/Key Responsibilities
- Research the needs of customers and prospects.
- Gather data, insights, and opinions while tracking market drivers, technology developments, and legislative changes.
- Identify gaps in the current proposition.
Requirements & Solution Development
- Gather client requirements that shape Solution Proposals where new functionality is required.
- Work with Change Delivery teams to understand BA, ADL, CCM Dev, and Testing effort needed.
- Collaborate with Account Directors and Business Development Directors in innovation and engagement workshops to identify process improvements that streamline proposals.
Performance & Governance
- Ensure adherence to SLAs for Product Demos, Solution Proposals, and Requirements Catalogues.
- Act as the solution lead, providing technical support for developing opportunities.
- Ensure proposed solutions align with current Product Suite and Mail Metrics Platform capabilities.
- Provide technical responses based on the Bid Allocation for all solution-related elements.
Skills & Experience
- Deep understanding of the Customer Communications sector, including technology, market landscape, and competitor analysis.
- Detailed knowledge of data capture and digital transformation technologies to support opportunities from existing clients and new prospects.
- Confident in developing relationships with a range of different internal and external stakeholders in support of bids and opportunities.
- Self-starter capable of working independently to prioritise their workload.
- Ability to work collectively as part of a team on complex, strategic opportunities that require engagement with several SMEs across the business.
- Competent in navigating difficult conversations and dealing with objections to deliver mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Experience of creating clear and compelling technical documentation in support of incremental and new opportunities.
- Experience of delivering clear and compelling product demos for clients and prospects.
- Proficient in the delivery of tailored client training sessions orientated towards user needs.
- Basic knowledge of financial management, pricing models, and budgeting.
