Maiden Marc Advisory is working with a leading retained executive search firm with offices in London and New York to find several Associate and Senior Associate-level profiles to join one of their core practices. Covering the Financial Services landscape, the business has a long track record of executing both C-Suite and senior business-critical searches within Hedge Funds, Investment Banks, Private Equity, and Asset/Wealth Managers.
Working directly under hands-on Partners (all personally billing in excess of £1 million a year) across their C-Suite, Front-Office and Technology practices, the right individual for the role can join a specific practice or rotate through the firm, gaining broader exposure.
Core skills they look for in candidates include the ability to:
- Identify, reference, and proactively reach out and assess candidates for active retained mandates via outreach, phone, in-person networking and network referrals.
- Create detail-oriented forensic competitor analysis, strategic overviews, bespoke market benchmarking and product intelligence reports.
- Own pre-pitch/origination research and due diligence responsibilities.
- Execute on search mandates from day one, focusing on candidate management and client delivery, while working closely with the Partners and developing further working relationships with clients.
The firm is several years into a 5-year strategic growth plan, and the addition of high-calibre Associate and Senior Associate-level talent with the ability to become future business leaders is essential to drive this. All high-performing Associates will be genuinely able to impact and develop with the firm - something they can demonstrate through their current outstanding track record of progressing talent through the business.
You will be encouraged to personally build your network in the market, manage senior professionals as a trusted advisor, and ultimately, in time, with the support of the well-established development program, progress into a fee-generating Principal, allowing you to take responsibility for a specialism of your own.
They are ideally looking for someone who has:
- Six months to six years of experience, preferably within a search or headhunting environment, though they would consider a high-performing contingent recruiter or someone coming from a relevant professional services background.
- Worked on executive search mandates, market research projects or someone with the ability to take on this type of detail-oriented, project-based role.
- Excellent academic credentials, exemplary writing skills and a high level of attention to detail.
- An analytical thinking process coupled with a well-rounded communication technique.
- An engaging and driven personality that enjoys problem-solving, is motivated to deliver high-quality work, and has a natural drive to overachieve.
- A drive to build a career in retained ‘C-level’ executive search within a respected industry leader.
They offer an industry-leading total compensation package (made up of a base salary starting at £40,000 and increasing based on background and delivery track record to £70,000+) and a bonus scheme based on personal and firm performance that for top performers exceeds 100% of base. On top of this, they also offer:
- A close-knit, high-performing collegiate culture (the whole business gets together several times a year for expense-paid company reviews).
- Opportunities for internal growth and international travel between offices.
- Real hands-on mentorship and genuine development from experienced senior leadership.
- A wide range of other benefits.
- A path to relocating more permanently to their New York office if of interest.
