About This Role

We are looking to appoint reliable and conscientious Exam Invigilators to support the effective delivery of examinations at Maiden Erlegh Chiltern Edge.

As an Exam Invigilator, you will help ensure examinations are conducted fairly, securely and in accordance with awarding body regulations and Trust procedures. You will maintain a calm and orderly environment that enables students to perform to the best of their ability while protecting the integrity of the examination process.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise students during examinations, maintaining a calm and orderly examination environment.
• Ensure examination instructions and procedures are followed accurately.
• Prepare examination rooms, including seating plans, materials and equipment.
• Distribute, collect and account for examination papers and materials.
• Maintain active vigilance throughout examinations and respond appropriately to any irregularities.
• Complete required documentation accurately, including attendance registers and incident reports.
• Promote appropriate behaviour and ensure students comply with examination rules and expectations.
• Monitor student wellbeing and report any safeguarding concerns in line with procedures.
• Support access arrangements and reasonable adjustments so that students can access examinations fairly and appropriately.

The Ideal Candidate

You will be organised, dependable and able to remain calm and attentive throughout examination sessions. You will communicate clearly and appropriately with students and colleagues and be able to follow instructions and examination procedures accurately.

You Will Have

• Good communication and organisational skills.
• The ability to manage your time effectively.
• The ability to ensure students comply with examination regulations and conditions.
• An understanding of the importance of fair and compliant examination procedures.
• The ability to work collaboratively as part of a close-knit team.
• A flexible approach to changing requirements within the examination environment.
• The ability to remain attentive for extended periods, including while patrolling and standing.
