Maiden Erlegh School is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of Geography, Religion & Philosophy to join our successful Humanities team. We teach students through KS3, KS4 and KS5 and look forward to receiving applications from teachers who are passionate about teaching Geography to a high standard. This is a permanent and full-time role.

Maiden Erlegh School is a highly successful comprehensive school for students from 11-18 years old, situated in Lower Earley, near Reading. Our staff are dedicated professionals who work to create a positive environment where students are keen to learn. The school has a thriving sixth form and strong Progress 8 results.

Maiden Erlegh Trust is committed to developing a diverse, inclusive, and collaborative community of highly effective schools. Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality Geography teaching to KS3, KS4 and KS5 as part of the Humanities team.
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive environment that supports student learning and achievement.

  • Salary: £31,650.00 - £45,037.00 Annually (Actual).
  • 1 FTE, MPS 1 - 6.
  • Contract: Permanent.
  • Contract Term: Full-Time.
  • Location: Silverdale Rd, Earley, Reading, Berkshire, RG6 7HS.
  • Closing Date: 11:59pm, 13th Feb 2026.
  • Start Date: 13/04/2026.
