About This Role

We are seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant - Trades to join our dedicated team. Working closely with the Trades Teacher, you will support the delivery of practical vocational lessons and hands-on learning activities for students with a range of abilities and needs, including SEMH and SEN. The role will also involve supporting the delivery of alternative provision Trades learning within other schools across the local community. The successful candidate will support the wider aspects of school life, such as student transport, maintaining a safe site environment, and assisting with the day-to-day running of a safe trades provision.

Key skills include:

  • Building positive relationships with young people
  • Knowledge of health and safety
  • A full driving licence held for over a year (D1 category desirable or willingness to train)

About Cranbury College

Cranbury College is an Alternative Education provider for young people ranging from 5-16 years old. We support learners who have been permanently excluded from mainstream settings and provide preventative support to those who are at risk of permanent exclusion. We also support those that unintentionally exclude themselves from education and children who cannot access school for medical reasons. We are a multi-site organisation with Primary and Secondary provisions and outreach teams that provide specialist support within schools. Our Hospital Teaching Service at Royal Berkshire Hospital delivers education to children on short and long-term stays.
