An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and inspiring History specialist to lead our successful History department. We are seeking a dynamic Curriculum Leader who is passionate about shaping a rich, challenging, and inclusive History curriculum that ignites curiosity and fosters a love of learning in every student.
The Curriculum Leader for History will:
- Lead the strategic development of the History curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Drive high-quality teaching and learning, ensuring consistently excellent outcomes for students.
- Support, mentor, and develop a team of dedicated History teachers.
- Use data and assessment intelligently to inform planning, intervention, and curriculum refinement.

Maiden Erlegh School in Reading is an ambitious, over-subscribed 11-16 secondary school in an urban context which is as committed to the welfare of students and staff as it is to our high-quality education.
