The predicted salary is between 28800 - 48000 £ per year.

The successful candidate will plan, resource and deliver high-quality Science lessons across the ability range, ensuring strong progress, high academic standards and positive behaviour for learning. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to develop engaging schemes of work, contribute to curriculum enrichment, and play a full role in the wider life of the school and Trust. The role includes acting as a form tutor and supporting students' academic progress, wellbeing and personal development.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver inspiring and effective Science lessons in line with agreed schemes of work
  • Ensure consistently high standards of teaching, learning and assessment
  • Use assessment accurately to monitor progress and address gaps in attainment
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour, conduct and attendance
  • Act as a form tutor and contribute to strong pastoral support
  • Contribute to enrichment activities, practical work, trips and extra-curricular provision
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and support whole-school improvement
  • Support the education and life chances of children and young people as part of the Maiden Erlegh Trust community

Requirements

  • Holds QTS and a relevant Science degree (or is working towards this)
  • Is a reflective and enthusiastic classroom practitioner
