Responsibilities

In this role, you will prepare, cook and serve nutritious, high quality meals in a fast paced school environment, supporting the smooth and efficient running of kitchen operations. You will maintain excellent standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness at all times, ensuring all food provision meets dietary and allergen requirements. Working closely with the Catering Manager, you will contribute to a consistent and reliable catering service and support the day to day organisation of the kitchen. Through your work, you will help create a positive and welcoming dining experience that supports student wellbeing, encourages healthy choices and supports readiness to learn.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage time effectively, prioritise tasks and work both independently and as part of a team. Experience in food preparation and a NVQ level 2 or equivalent qualification in food, health and safety and hygiene standards is essential.
