We are seeking to appoint a committed and effective Classroom Teacher to join John Rankin School. The role involves planning and delivering high-quality lessons, leading a tutor group and contributing to curriculum development so that all students make strong progress, achieve high academic standards and learn in a safe, purposeful and ambitious environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver highly effective lessons in line with the Trust’s Learning and Teaching Framework and Schemes of Work.
- Secure strong progress and attainment for all students, including disadvantaged students, those with SEND and the most able.
- Use assessment effectively to inform teaching, close gaps and support student progress.
- Maintain high standards of behaviour for learning and create a safe, positive classroom environment.
- Contribute to tutor provision, supporting student wellbeing, attendance and personal development.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and carers to support student outcomes.
- Implement Trust policies consistently, including safeguarding, behaviour, assessment and reporting.
- Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment opportunities, including trips and extra-curricular activities.

- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree.
- Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and effective teaching practice.
