The Cover Supervisor will provide effective classroom supervision in the absence of the regular class teacher. Using pre-prepared resources and instructions, the postholder will ensure students remain safe, engaged and focused on learning, maintaining high standards of behaviour and professionalism at all times.

Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise classes during teacher absence, ensuring a calm and purposeful learning environment.
- Register attendance and manage orderly entry and exit from classrooms.
- Communicate lesson instructions clearly and provide appropriate resources to students.
- Manage behaviour in line with school systems and expectations.
- Collect and return student work and complete routine reporting as required.
- Support the administration team and departments during unallocated periods.
- Undertake lunchtime, break-time and exam invigilation duties as required.
- Comply fully with safeguarding, health and safety procedures and risk assessments.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Holds an NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
- Has experience of working in a school or with young people (desirable).
- Is confident in exercising authority and managing behaviour positively.
- Demonstrates strong communication, organisation and time management skills.
- Can work independently, using initiative, while maintaining confidentiality at all times.
- Has a positive, professional and resilient approach, with a clear commitment to student wellbeing and safeguarding.
