We are looking for an enthusiastic professional to desig and implement more complex systems independently and troubleshooting problems. Capable to lead projects, drive technological innovation, and focus on advanced research.
Your Contribution
- System design and implementation:Develop and deploy automated vision systems for tasks like defect detection, object recognition, robot guidance and dimensional measurement in high volume manufacturing and production environments.
- Programming and configuration: Program and integrate system components such as cameras, lenses, and lighting, and configuring software using tool likes PyTorch or TensorFlow for Deep Learning, Optical Character Recognition (OCR/OCV), and Data Matrix Code.
- Testing and optimization: Validate system performance to ensure accuracy and efficiency, often using data analysis to improve model performance and reduce inference time. An understanding of Measurement System Analysis (MSA) and QDAS software would be preferable.
- Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including quality assurance, operations, and mechanical and electrical development, to gather requirements and integrate vision systems into broader automation platforms.
- Troubleshooting and maintenance: Provide support and perform diagnostics on existing vision systems to ensure continuous, accurate operation.
- Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including validation protocols and user manuals.
Your Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering (e.g., Computer, Electrical, or Mechanical), Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
- Programming languages: Proficiency in VB.NET, Python, and C#. A knowledge of C++.is preferable.
- Computer vision expertise: Strong understanding of image processing, feature extraction, and object detection techniques.
- Machine and deep learning: Experience with deep learning frameworks like Cognex DeepLearning and a solid grasp of concepts like neural networks.
- Analytical skills: Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and logical reasoning abilities are needed to optimize complex visual data and algorithms.
- Attention to detail:A keen eye for visual anomalies and subtle patterns is critical for ensuring system accuracy.
IMPORTANT: Location & Relocation Requirement
This position will be based in the United Kingdom for the first two years of employment. Following this initial period, the role will permanently relocate to Slovakia. As such, the successful candidate must be willing and able to relocate to Slovakia after two years.
The company will provide support with the required immigration and work authorisation processes, including:
- Sponsorship and visa support for the initial employment period in the UK (where applicable).
- Assistance in obtaining the necessary work and residence permits for relocation to Slovakia after the two-year period.
