Maharishi is looking for an experienced Production Manager to join the team to lead global sourcing, supplier relationships and end-to-end production across collections and collaborations.

This is a hands‑on role requiring exceptional organisation, commercial awareness and the ability to work closely with the Managing Director and cross‑functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain existing long term factory/supplier/mill relationships whilst improving margin and more strictly enforcing critical path to improve delivery dates achieved.
  • Sourcing new suppliers and ongoing review of supplier capabilities to inform style allocation. Ability to establish / implement QC/QA procedures when required with new suppliers.
  • Understanding aesthetic and cost demands and communicating them effectively to vendors.
  • Collaborating with and communicating across Merchandising, Design, Production, Garment Technology and Buying teams to ensure all interests are represented in deliverables.
  • Responsible for timely handover of collection for sampling with feedback from internal stakeholders.
  • Continually developing trims, fabrics, finishes and techniques. Managing fabric and trim library with emphasis on future planned use for excess stocks.
  • Effective at cost predictions and following with cost negotiations with suppliers and working to budgets while maintaining or improving quality.
  • Make fabric usage predictions to enable advance purchasing of fabric and trims from UK, EU and Far East supplier base.
  • Strategise PO placement for raw materials and finished goods to alleviate cash flow and warehousing bottlenecks.
  • Plan future cash flow and schedule due invoices for weekly payments.
  • Create, distribute and monitor critical path. Manage interdepartmental and external partner deadlines which impact production and sampling.
  • Co-ordinate fabric and trims deliveries to factories, managing time and cost efficient continuous supply of relevant cloth and trims.
  • Manage gps tailor shop output and facilitate production team tasks completed by gps tailor shop.
  • Engage with collaborations team to schedule development and productions with manufacturers.
  • Keep on top of admin of departmental documents and Netsuite - creating and maintaining items, BOMs, POs.
  • Create and maintain weekly and seasonal reports for internal and external publication. Maintain and update departmental SOPs. Facilitate weekly interdepartmental meetings.
  • Manage internal tailor shop output and facilitate production team tasks completed by tailors.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience within a Production role in the fashion industry.
  • High admin efficiency/attention to detail. Ability to juggle multiple projects at once.
  • Experience with ERP systems, specifically Net Suite, preferred.
  • Confident, communicative and collaborative approach to work.
  • Problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Knowledge of garment construction, specs and patterns desirable.
  • The role reports directly into the MD so comfortability communicating and reporting directly to top level colleagues is essential.
