About BUNSIK
BUNSIK brings authentic Korean street food to the UK — from our famous Korean corn dogs to tteokbokki, kimbap, ramyun and Korean fried chicken. Since launching in 2021, we've grown from a single site in London to multiple restaurants across London and Manchester, with ambitious plans to keep expanding across the UK. Behind every restaurant is our Central Kitchen — the engine room that keeps our menu consistent, our quality high, and our stores stocked, no matter how fast we grow.
About the Role
Our Central Kitchen Production Team is at the heart of BUNSIK's operations. Every piece of chicken and every batch of sauce served across our restaurants starts here, so this role directly supports the day-to-day running of every BUNSIK branch. You'll be part of a small, hands-on team responsible for producing consistent, high-quality product to a tight schedule, so our stores never run short and our customers always get the same great BUNSIK experience wherever they order from. This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in doing things properly, enjoys the pace of a busy production kitchen, and wants to be part of a growing, ambitious brand from behind the scenes.
What You'll Be Doing
- Producing the chicken and sauces supplied to all BUNSIK branches, following our recipes and production standards consistently
- Inspecting finished product for quality and consistency before it's packaged and dispatched to restaurants
- Accurately packaging and labelling product ready for distribution
- Keeping your work area, equipment and the wider kitchen clean and tidy throughout the shift
- Working closely with the rest of the production team, communicating clearly to keep the line moving and hit daily targets
- Following all Food Safety and Health & Safety procedures at all times, and flagging any issues immediately
- Helping spot opportunities to improve how the kitchen runs, and supporting the team to hit production goals
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience working in a kitchen or food production environment
- Someone who picks up new tasks quickly and adapts well to a fast-changing environment
- A strong sense of ownership and responsibility for hitting targets and production deadlines
- A proactive attitude — someone who looks for ways to improve their own performance and the team's
- Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate preferred (support available for the right candidate to obtain this)
- Comfortable working in a hands-on production environment, including time on your feet and in chilled/temperature-controlled areas
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays as part of a rota
Why Join BUNSIK
You'll be joining a fast-growing Korean street food brand at an exciting stage of expansion, with real opportunities to grow as we open more sites across the UK. You'll work alongside a close-knit team that takes real pride in the product going out to our restaurants every day.
