Korean BBQ. Japanese sushi. Urban casual dining. Restaurants with personality, regulars who genuinely love them, and a group that is ready to market them properly.
Maguro Group operates a portfolio of distinctive restaurant brands across London and Manchester - Bullgogi, Gogi, Maguro Sushi and Pochawa Grill. Each brand has its own identity and its own loyal following. What they need now is someone to bring that to life consistently, creatively and commercially.
We are looking for a Marketing Manager to take ownership of the restaurant marketing function. This is a mid-level role with real breadth - campaigns, digital, social, local store marketing and everything in between. You will work closely with Operations and senior leadership, and you will see the direct impact of your work in venues every week.
THE ROLE
You will be responsible for planning and delivering marketing activity across the restaurant portfolio. This is not a purely digital role and it is not a purely strategic one either. You will need to be comfortable doing both - setting the direction and then getting on with it.
Day to day you will manage campaign calendars, run social and digital channels, support site teams with local marketing, and lead on new restaurant openings. You will also be the person who makes sure each brand looks and sounds like itself across every touchpoint - online, in print and in venue.
You will report into senior leadership and work alongside Operations to make sure marketing and the restaurant experience are properly joined up.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- - Develop and manage quarterly and annual marketing plans across the restaurant portfolio
- - Build campaign calendars aligned to commercial priorities and seasonal moments
- - Lead social media, paid advertising, website content and digital performance across all brands
- - Plan and execute new restaurant opening campaigns from pre-launch through to sustained local activity
- - Support individual sites with local store marketing, community partnerships and promotional activity
- - Ensure brand consistency across digital, print and in-venue materials for each restaurant
- - Manage marketing budgets, track performance and report on results
- - Monitor market trends, competitor activity and guest behaviour
- - Work closely with Operations to keep marketing grounded in the real guest experience
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Essential:
- Experience in a marketing manager or senior marketing executive role
- Background in hospitality, restaurants, retail, leisure or a multi-site consumer business
- Solid digital marketing skills across social, paid, SEO and email
- Experience managing campaigns from brief through to delivery and evaluation
- A commercial mindset - you think about footfall and revenue, not just content
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills
- Organised and self-sufficient, comfortable managing multiple projects at pace
Great to have:
- Restaurant or hospitality marketing experience specifically
- Experience supporting new site or restaurant openings
- Agency management experience
- An appreciation for Korean and Asian food culture and dining
WHAT IS IN IT FOR YOU
- - Β£35,000 base salary with a clear commitment to review and growth as the role develops
- - 40-hour working week, Monday to Friday
- - Office-based with regular travel to restaurant locations across London and Manchester
- - A broad, varied role with genuine ownership across multiple brands
- - Direct exposure to senior leadership in a growing hospitality group
- - Free and discounted food across all our restaurants
- - A fast-paced environment where your work is visible every day
THE HONEST VERSION
Our restaurant brands have built genuine followings without a dedicated marketing function behind them. That tells you something about the quality of the food and the experience. It also tells you there is a real opportunity here for someone to come in and make a meaningful difference.
This role suits someone at the stage in their career where they want more ownership, more variety and a chance to prove what they can do across a proper multi-brand portfolio. The salary reflects where we are starting - but the expectation on both sides is that this grows.
If you understand hospitality and want a role where your work shows up on the floor every week, then lets talk...
