Salary: Up to £75,000 depending on experience
Contract: 12-month fixed term, with the possibility of extension
The role
Our client, a respected engineering business, is looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to lead procurement on a major project. You will own the process from requirement through to delivery, working closely with engineering and project colleagues.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and manage procurement activity against the project programme
- Run tenders, evaluate bids and negotiate terms with suppliers and subcontractors
- Place and manage orders through to delivery, including expediting and logistics
- Monitor supplier performance, quality and compliance
- Track commitments and costs, and report progress and risks clearly
About you
- Procurement experience on EPC projects
- Experience managing suppliers, subcontractors and equipment packages
- Strong commercial and negotiation skills
- Understanding of manufacturing and fabrication processes
- Available at short notice
Beneficial
- Experience in offshore, marine or other heavy engineering environments
- International supplier and logistics experience
