Our client is a well-established organic food and drink company with over 40 years' experience and a mission to make healthy eating accessible to everyone. They're looking for an ambitious Junior Account Manager to help drive rapid expansion across their customer base. Position Overview

As a Junior Account Manager, you'll play a key role in building and nurturing customer relationships whilst supporting the commercial growth of the organisation. You'll work alongside the sales team to manage existing accounts, identify new business opportunities, and help launch new products across multiple channels. This varied role includes approximately one day every two weeks conducting in-store food demonstrations to build customer relationships and gain valuable market knowledge. You'll gain exposure to strategic account management, commercial negotiations, and the full sales cycle in a supportive, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Build strong working relationships with customers, engaging stakeholders at all levels and representing the company with pride
  • Nurture and grow existing customer accounts whilst identifying opportunities to expand product distribution
  • Support senior team members with larger national accounts across different retail channels
  • Pursue new business opportunities in target channels across the UK and key EU markets
  • Negotiate price increases, promotional plans and product activations with customers
  • Gain new product listings and support the launch of new products to market
  • Conduct in-store food demonstrations approximately once every two weeks to strengthen customer relationships
  • Monitor performance of commercial activities and prepare monthly reports for senior leadership

Requirements

  • Prior sales experience in FMCG or a related field (desirable but not essential)
  • Excellent command of Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strategic and analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Result-driven approach with confidence to achieve company targets
  • Drive, determination and commitment to delivering results
