This is not your average operations role. As our Operations Manager, you’ll sit at the heart of the business, ensuring everything runs smoothly, nothing slips through the cracks, and structure is brought to our fast-paced, ever-evolving environment. You’ll work directly with our Directors and collaborate closely with our compliance team to keep our temporary workforce audit-ready at all times.
What You'll Be Doing
- Taking ownership of day-to-day operational functions across the business.
- Leading the integration of newly acquired business units into our systems, processes, and culture.
- Working with our compliance team to ensure client-facing processes and our temporary workforce meet audit standards (including GLAA obligations).
- Implementing and championing systems and tools, including CRM and Sage HR, and driving adoption across the team.
- Managing HR functions: onboarding, offboarding, contracts, performance management, and employment law compliance.
- Drafting and maintaining business-critical documents, policies, and process guides.
- Tracking memberships, renewals, audits, and deadlines so nothing is ever missed.
- Supporting Directors with ad hoc projects, audits, and business-critical tasks.
Who We're Looking For
You’ll need experience working in a recruitment agency, ideally in temporary recruitment. Transport, logistics, and industrial experience is a bonus, but strong candidates from other fast-paced temp markets (e.g., healthcare) are welcome.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Loves building structure, documenting processes, and ensuring systems are used properly.
- Is confident with technology and can quickly pick up new platforms.
- Understands HR functions, employment law, contracts, and compliance.
- Can manage multiple priorities without losing attention to detail.
