Full time ongoing/temp to perm work available
We are seeking dedicated and reliable Class 1 drivers for our client to join the team at their site near Rushden.
Position overview:
As a class 1 trunk driver, you\’ll be completing runs between local and regional distribution centers. This will primarily be trailer swapping, however some stops may require you to wait on the bay whilst your trailer is tipped. You\’ll be carrying out a mix of container and fridge work, however they also do bulk tanker work of food products and liquids.
Shifts:
- Start times across the board, early/late morning and early/late afternoon. You\’ll need to provide a 4 hour window in which you\’d be happy to start
- Guaranteed 8 hours paid per shift; an average run is up to 12 hours
- 5 days out of 7, however fixed rotas can be accommodated depending on desired shifts and starting window
Requirements:
- Full UK HGV Class 1 drivers license (C+E) held for a minimum of 6 months
- In date UK issued CPC and digital tachograph cards
- No more than 6 penalty points (no DD/IN endorsements etc)
- Minimum of 6 months UK Class 1 experience required for this position
Rates and benefits:
- £17-£17.50 per hour dependent on shifts and start times
- Minimum 8 hours pay guaranteed; paid on a weekly basis through PAYE
- Full time ongoing work with the possibility for permanent positions for suitable candidates
- Tanker training, would be ideal for someone looking to get in to ADR work down the line
- Secure on site parking
