We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join our client based in Maidstone to drive new business, develop key accounts and grow service contracts across a diverse range of commercial and industrial customers.
The Role
- Identify and secure new service and maintenance opportunities.
- Develop relationships with commercial, industrial, public-sector and leisure customers.
- Promote planned maintenance, reactive support, refurbishment and optimisation services.
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through to contract award.
- Attend customer sites to identify service and improvement opportunities.
- Prepare quotations, proposals and tenders.
- Work closely with engineering and service teams to deliver solutions.
- Maintain a strong sales pipeline and accurate CRM records.
Working pattern and Salary
Monday to Friday - 8am-5pm
£45,000 per annum plus company commission structure
Skills/Experience Required
- Proven business development or technical sales experience.
- Experience within the water/waste industry, ideally with knowledge of domestic pump stations, treatment plants and tankering works.
- Experience selling service contracts, maintenance or technical solutions.
- Strong commercial, communication and negotiation skills.
- Confident dealing with both technical and non-technical customers.
- Able to identify opportunities and convert them into revenue.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
- Experience working with facilities, estates, industrial, leisure or public-sector customers, including tendering and framework opportunities.
