My client is an established, well-regarded independent estate agency with multiple offices across the Greater Leeds area. During this exciting period of growth, they are continuing to expand their managed portfolio and are looking to grow their property management team with the addition of either a part-time (4 days per week) or full-time Property Manager. Based within the Property Management department at their Huddersfield branch, you will work as part of a wider team managing an extensive portfolio of properties. This role will focus specifically on maintenance and compliance, making it ideal for someone who enjoys the operational side of property management and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Your Key Responsibilities as a Property Manager:

  • Work within the wider Property Management team to support the management of a large portfolio
  • Coordinate and oversee all reactive maintenance across the portfolio
  • Manage maintenance jobs from start to finish, liaising with landlords, tenants and contractors throughout
  • Communicate effectively across all channels with landlords, tenants, contractors and colleagues
  • Coordinate safety certifications and ensure full compliance across the portfolio
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the property management system
  • Ensure clients receive legally accurate, practical and timely responses to enquiries and issues
  • Work collaboratively within the wider team to ensure the portfolio adheres to all legal and compliance obligations at all times
  • Keep up to date with changing lettings legislation and industry best practice
  • Assist with the wider management of the portfolio where required, including supporting the team during busy periods and holiday cover

What We’re Looking For in a Property Manager:

  • Previous Property Management experience is essential
  • ARLA qualification (desirable but not essential)
  • Exceptional organisational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build lasting relationships
  • A calm, solutions-focused approach when working under pressure
  • Confidence using property management systems and handling administrative tasks efficiently
  • A proactive and team-oriented approach to work
