Your role as a Senior Property Manager:
- Overseeing a team within the property management department, providing support, guidance and direction on a day-to-day basis
- Managing and overseeing a portfolio of approximately 1,900 managed properties, ensuring excellent levels of service are maintained
- Taking responsibility for complex property management issues and providing support to the wider team when required
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with landlords, providing advice and keeping them informed throughout the management process
- Managing disputes and resolving issues between landlords, tenants and other associated parties
- Supporting the team with maintenance queries, including overseeing urgent and complex maintenance issues where required
- Overseeing the communication between property managers and clients, ensuring the highest levels of customer service are maintained
- Ensuring properties remain compliant with relevant legislation and regulations, working closely with the team to ensure all necessary processes are followed
- Overseeing routine and reactive maintenance and ensuring works are progressed efficiently
- Supporting the team with tenancy notices, end of tenancy processes and deposit matters where required
- Providing coaching, guidance and support to less experienced members of the team, helping them to develop and perform effectively
- Monitoring workloads and ensuring the department operates efficiently, with work appropriately prioritised and delegated
- Using Reapit to maintain accurate records and manage the property portfolio effectively
- Remaining hands‑on within the department while providing senior-level support and leadership to the team
- Although predominantly office based, attending properties when necessary to deal with particularly complex issues
What we're looking for from a Senior Property Manager:
- Previous experience in residential property management is essential – ideally as a Senior Property Manager, or an experienced Property Manager ready to take their next step
- Experience working with a sizeable managed portfolio and a strong understanding of the day-to-day property management process
- Some previous experience supporting, mentoring or overseeing other members of a team would be advantageous
- Strong communication and people skills – build lasting relationships with landlords, tenants and colleagues
- A proactive, organised approach with the ability to prioritise and manage a busy workload
- Strong problem‑solving skills and the confidence to take ownership of complex issues
- Solid IT skills and ideally experience using Reapit, although training can be provided for the right candidate
- A good understanding of property management legislation, compliance and best practice
- A well‑presented and professional approach
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- A driving licence and access to your own vehicle would be advantageous due to the occasional requirement to attend properties
