My client is a well-established and highly regarded property business with a strong presence across the Southport and surrounding areas. With a reputation built on local market knowledge, professional advice and a genuinely personal approach to customer service, they provide a comprehensive range of sales, lettings and property management services to landlords and tenants.

Based within the property management department, the role involves managing your own portfolio of properties, working closely with landlords and tenants and overseeing the day-to-day management of your portfolio.

You'll be joining an established team of Property Managers, with a good level of autonomy but plenty of support around you.

Benefits of the role:

  • Basic salary of up to£27-30,000DOE plus commission on top
  • Additional commission of approximately £3,000 per annum on top of basic
  • Holiday entitlement of 20 days plus bank holidays
  • 1 Saturday per month, 9.30am - 2pm

Your Key Responsibilities as a Property Manager:

  • End to end management of your own portfolio ofproperties, delivering a high level of service to both landlords and tenants
  • Act as the main point of contact for landlords and tenants throughout the tenancy
  • Deal with day-to-day property management enquiries, resolving issues promptly and professionally
  • Coordinate maintenance and repairs, liaising with landlords, tenants and contractors to ensure works are dealt with efficiently
  • Conduct regular property inspections and provide feedback to landlords
  • Carry out inventories and check-in/check-out processes
  • Manage the tenant application process from initial application through to move-in
  • Deal with rental arrears and other tenancy-related issues as required
  • Ensure properties remain compliant with current legislation and safety requirements
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records across the property management system
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with landlords, tenants and contractors
  • Work as part of an established property management team, sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues where required
  • Stay up to date with changes in lettings legislation and property management best practice

What We're Looking For in a Property Manager:

  • Previous Property Management experience is essential
  • Experience managing a residential property portfolio from tenancy through to the end of the tenancy
  • Confident dealing directly with landlords, tenants and contractors
  • Experience with property inspections, inventories and the tenant application process
  • Strong knowledge of residential lettings legislation and compliance
  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail, you take pride in keeping your portfolio running smoothly
  • Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build lasting relationships
  • A calm, practical and solutions-focused approach when dealing with problems
  • Confidence using property management systems and handling administrative tasks efficiently
