JOB DESCRIPTION & PURPOSE: We are seeking a passionate, high-performing Digital Commerce Account Manager to support the acceleration of our Grocery and Aggregator digital commerce business. This role sits at the intersection of commercial strategy, digital execution, and customer collaboration, with full P&L accountability for their customers within the channel. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving market share, sales, and profitability, while shaping and delivering the long-term strategy to fuel sustainable business expansion.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- P&L responsibility, including the delivery of internal metrics (Share, Volume, Turnover, Gross Profit, and UOP) and all direct investment for their customers within the channel.
- Drive price, promotion and bundling strategies with agility, optimising for share.
- Build best in class customer partnerships and land winning eJBPs with key customers (Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons, ASDA, Waitrose, Iceland, Uber, Deliveroo, Just Eat).
- Manage in-month performance vs forecast, working closely with Grocery Controllers to effectively manage accruals, pricing, range changes, and S&OP.
- Build and execute a holistic, future fit digital commerce strategy to ensure long-term digital commerce category growth.
KEY DELIVERABLES:
- Commercial performance at a customer level, with a particular focus on share, volume, and distribution.
- Strong commercial acumen, internal reporting accuracy, stakeholder management, and at the category level developing and executing the category growth plan for the channel.
- Building best in class relationships with key customers.
- Elevate Digital Commerce internally to always have a seat at the table.
KEY EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Experience in digital commerce, marketplace management or D2C site operations (e.g., Grocery.com, Amazon 3P, Shopify, retailer.com trading).
- Commercial acumen and an ability to demonstrate commercial creativity.
- Strong operational standards and a ‘right first time’ mindset, ideally with previous E2E operational experience.
- Evidence of working in agile, faced-paced team environments with competing priorities.
- Line Management experience preferred.
- Holistic selling experience, with demonstrable skills in using category, shopper and customer data to build compelling selling stories.
