About the role:

As Head of EU Retail Transformation, you will partner with the Global Head of Scooping to shape the European retail strategy and lead local teams to execute with excellence. You will work across a broad set of stakeholders including regional retail operations teams, distributors, franchisees, industry partners, and internal Ben & Jerry’s cross-functional teams. This role requires strong expertise in business operations, financial management, and relationship leadership. You will assess performance, needs, and priorities across the European Scoop Shop business, prioritize resources against overall objectives, integrate our core values, and ensure internal and external partners (including franchisees and licensees) work collaboratively to bring the Ben & Jerry’s brand experience to life for fans.
Who you are & what you’ll do:
• Partner with the Global Head of Scooping to define Europe’s growth and operating model, aligned to B&J objectives and local TMICC objectives. This will be informed by performance insights to guide market footprint and investment decisions.
• Transform the B&J European retail strategy and go to market execution for Europe.
• Own the holistic European Retail P&L, partnering with Finance to deliver sustainable, profitable growth.
• Lead the implementation of Ben & Jerry’s retail strategies and development programs for Europe working closely with the Global retail team and local TMICC (Magnum Ice Cream Company) country teams.
• Partner with legal teams to understand contractual obligations in markets and ensure all legal compliance is being met locally.
• Set clear goals and KPIs for the European Retail system aligned with company priorities and deploy plans regionally with strong governance and follow-through.
• Work collaboratively across the global retail organization to share best practices, keep processes and procedures up to date, and ensure standards are implemented consistently across Europe.
• Partner with Global Retail Marketing & Strategy Manager to ensure marketing toolkits and needs are met within European countries.
• Ensure operational and executional compliance within Europe focused on maintaining and growing Brand Equity.
• Serve as a key leader on the global retail team with the ability to work across multiple levels within the organization.

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Experience: Experience in retail management or similar field.

  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the retail industry, including franchise operations, financial management, and marketing strategies.

  • Strategic Thinking: Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic plans that align with business objectives and drive growth.

  • Financial Acumen: Strong financial management skills, including the ability to analyze financial data, develop business plans and budgets to ensure profitability.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.

  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Cultural Competence: Experience working in a global environment with an understanding of cultural differences and their impact on business operations.
