What will you be doing
In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and optimising control and instrumentation systems that are critical to monitoring and controlling plant operations. From planned maintenance to reactive fault finding, your work will ensure equipment performs reliably and safely within strict regulatory requirements.
- Deliver planned and reactive maintenance on a wide range of control and instrumentation equipment
- Diagnose faults, investigate issues and carry out effective repairs to minimise downtime
- Ensure all work is completed safely, following procedures and within environmental limits
- Interpret engineering drawings and work instructions to support accurate and compliant maintenance
Who are we looking for
We’re looking for a motivated and skilled C&I technician who takes pride in their work and brings a strong safety-first mindset. You’ll be someone who enjoys problem-solving, works well as part of a team, and is comfortable operating in a highly regulated, safety-critical environment. A positive, “can-do” attitude and a drive to continuously improve will set you apart.
You’ll have experience working in industries such as power generation, oil & gas, process or pharmaceuticals, with a solid understanding of maintenance practices and safe systems of work. Strong practical skills, attention to detail and the ability to interpret technical information are essential. While not mandatory, qualifications in instrumentation and experience within nuclear settings will further strengthen your application.
- Experience in C&I maintenance within a relevant industrial environment, with strong fault-finding capability
- Understanding of health & safety procedures, including permit-to-work systems in controlled environments
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
Desirable: HNC in Instrumentation & Control and/or experience working within the nuclear industry.
