As part of our dedicated Waste Management team, you’ll play a key role in supporting safe operations, tackling meaningful challenges, and contributing to the long-term success of our decommissioning mission. You’ll be surrounded by experienced professionals, supported with training, and encouraged to grow your capability across a variety of specialist tasks.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Carry out waste management activities—including packaging, transporting, collecting, and controlling waste—ensuring safe and compliant handling at all times.
  • Conduct advanced Health Physics monitoring duties and support routine safety checks on plant and equipment, maintaining high safety standards.
  • Operate specialist waste volume reduction equipment and assist with the dismantling and removal of hazardous structures, materials, cables and equipment.
  • Support routine maintenance on waste-management equipment, update signage and control of waste management controlled lay down areas and containers.
  • May be required to carry out additional roles such as crane operation, forklift driving, or rigging (with training provided).

  • Experience in waste management or industrial waste processes, particularly with an understanding of radiological matters and nuclear safety standards.
  • Existing authorisations to operate forklifts or telehandlers are an added advantage, though a willingness to develop these skills is equally welcomed as part of our commitment to ongoing training and capability growth.
