This is a unique opportunity to step into a visible, varied role at Hunterston A, where no two days are the same.

In this position, you’ll be at the heart of site activity trusted to handle sensitive information with discretion, coordinate training and documentation, and support key stakeholder interactions, including visits from regulators and senior leaders. If you're looking to broaden your impact, grow your visibility, and build meaningful relationships across a complex organisation, this could be your next big step. With a four-day working week (Monday to Thursday), this role also offers a fantastic work-life balance.

What will you be doing

  • As a central point of contact for the Leadership Team, you’ll play a vital role in keeping information flowing efficiently across the site.
  • You’ll take ownership of key administrative processes, ensuring systems, records, and communications are accurate, accessible, and compliant.
  • From coordinating training activities to supporting leadership meetings and stakeholder visits, your contribution will directly support the smooth running of site operations.
  • You’ll be working collaboratively with teams across the site and interacting regularly with external stakeholders, so strong communication and organisation skills will be essential.
  • This is a role where your initiative, attention to detail, and ability to solve problems independently will be highly valued.
  • Acting as a proactive hub for information and communication across the site.
  • Maintaining databases, filing systems, and key documentation to a high standard.
  • Supporting leadership activities, including coordination, administration, and meeting support.
  • Building strong working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Who are we looking for

We’re looking for an experienced and highly capable administrator who is confident working in a busy, professional environment. You’ll bring a strong foundation of administrative experience and be comfortable managing a varied workload with minimal supervision. Your ability to stay organised, prioritise effectively, and communicate clearly with a wide range of stakeholders will set you apart.

You’ll need to be confident using Microsoft Office tools and have a solid educational background equivalent to A-level standard. Experience supporting technical or regulated environments such as engineering, quality, or health & safety would be an advantage, but most importantly, you’ll demonstrate a proactive mindset and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

  • Solid administrative experience and strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Educated to A-level (or equivalent) with excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage information, coordinate activities, and work independently.
  • Ideally, some exposure to a technical or regulated environment, though not essential.
