Do you thrive on influencing leaders, shaping culture, and delivering meaningful people strategies on the ground? If so, this could be the role that transforms your career. At NRS Dungeness, we’re looking for an HR Business Partner who can balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.

You’ll be part of a wider, collaborative HRBP network across the UK, while owning and shaping the people agenda locally, driving a high-performance culture and supporting leaders to bring out the very best in their teams.

What will you be doing

  • You will partner closely with leadership teams, equipping them with the tools, insight, and confidence to effectively manage and develop their people in line with business needs and the wider people plan.
  • From workforce planning and talent development to performance, reward, and absence management, you’ll ensure leaders are supported to drive high performance.
  • Acting as a trusted advisor, you will provide expert HR guidance and hands-on coaching to managers and employees across a wide range of people matters, building capability and confidence in handling both day-to-day and complex HR challenges.
  • In addition, you will play a key role in shaping integrated workforce and talent strategies, addressing succession gaps and ensuring alignment with organisational change requirements.
  • You’ll lead on resolving employee relations matters, working in partnership with managers, employees, and unions to achieve balanced and effective outcomes, while strengthening understanding of policies and best practice.
  • You will also engage with external networks and communities of practice to bring fresh insight and emerging trends back into the organisation, ensuring HR approaches remain forward-thinking and commercially relevant.

Who are we looking for

  • You will bring a strong academic foundation, with a Higher Education qualification at Level 4/5 (or equivalent) such as HNC/HND, alongside being CIPD Level 5 qualified (or actively working towards it).
  • Backed by proven HR experience across a wide range of disciplines, you will demonstrate the ability to deliver impactful outcomes and provide credible support across complex people matters.
  • Crucially, you will have a solid understanding of current employment law, using this knowledge to guide decision-making and help the organisation effectively mitigate risk.
  • In addition, you may bring valuable experience in driving process improvements that deliver tangible organisational and employee benefits, as well as exposure to change management within unionised environments.
  • Experience in team leadership will further strengthen your ability to influence and guide others, while contributing to a collaborative, forward-thinking HR function.
