Magnolia House Surgery is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Salaried GP to provide fixed‑term maternity cover beginning in August 2026 for a 12‑month period. The post offers 4‑6 sessions per week with flexibility available for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high‑quality, patient‑centred care as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Conduct routine and urgent patient consultations.
  • Manage long‑term conditions and review investigations.
  • Prescribe medicines and make referrals.
  • Contribute to quality improvement and the ongoing development of the practice.
  • Support team continuity of care and collaboration.

Person Specification

  • Experience of working in a primary care environment.
  • Experience of continued professional development.
  • Experience of QOF and clinical audit.
  • Minimum of two years as a salaried GP.
  • General understanding of the GMS contract.
  • Experience of medicines management.
  • Experience of ICB initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Qualified GP.
  • MRCGP.
  • Vocational Training Certificate or equivalent JCPTGP.
  • General Practitioner (Certificate of Completion of Training CCT).
