A Geophysicist (Supervisor) is a burgeoning technical leader in the Company. They are responsible for supervising day-to-day activities on geophysical projects, including both fieldwork and reporting elements. They lead the planning on survey strategies during fieldwork, including large, complex, and non-standard projects. They ensure their office and fieldwork work hits or exceeds targets and deadlines. Additionally, they play a key role in staff development and training, as well as supporting analysis, technical and research activities within the company.
Capacity for fieldwork should average 40-50% of the time, with an emphasis on supervising complex and/or non-standard projects, and training and development for junior staff members. This role will also entail line management of junior staff.
Requirements:
- Minimum of three years experience in the Heritage, Geology or Geophysics sectors
- Competent and experienced geophysical surveyor, with demonstrable experience of successfully supervising teams on site
- Full UK manual driving license
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weathers & away from home
- Self Motivated and Driven
- Eligible to work in the UK without restriction
