We are working with a global financial institution seeking an experienced Finance Business Analyst to support a finance transformation programme focused on management information (MI) automation and regulatory reporting improvements, working with key systems Anaplan and Oracle ERP. This role will sit between finance and technology teams, translating business requirements into technical solutions to improve data flows, automate reporting processes, and strengthen data governance across finance systems. The position will focus on two core initiatives: Anaplan data automation and SEC reporting automation.
You will support a major finance transformation programme aimed at improving how financial data is captured, processed, and reported across the organisation:
- Automating finance data flows into Anaplan to support management information, forecasting, and performance reporting.
- Automating SEC reporting processes currently managed through manual or EUC-based processes.
- Improving data integration across finance systems including Oracle ERP and enterprise reporting platforms.
You will work closely with finance stakeholders, data teams, and technology teams to define requirements, design solutions, and ensure successful delivery.
Key Responsibilities for finance transformation:
- Gather and document business requirements across finance reporting and MI processes.
- Produce end-to-end BRDs, functional specifications, and solution documentation.
- Map complex finance data flows and system integrations across multiple platforms.
- Translate finance requirements into clear technical specifications for development teams.
- Support automation initiatives replacing manual reporting processes.
- Perform data analysis and SQL-based modelling to support reporting and transformation logic.
- Define and execute testing strategies, QA processes, and UAT support.
- Work closely with finance teams to ensure reporting outputs meet regulatory and business requirements.
- Act as the bridge between finance stakeholders and technology teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Skills & Experience for finance transformation:
- Strong experience working as a Business Analyst within Banking & financial services or highly regulated environments.
- Proven experience delivering finance transformation projects is a must!
- Ideally worked with financial platforms including Anaplan and Oracle ERP or similar.
- Experience producing BRDs, functional specifications, and test documentation.
- Strong understanding of finance reporting, MI, and financial data flows.
- Hands-on SQL and data analysis experience.
- Business Objects Snowflake experience supporting regulatory reporting or SEC reporting processes.
