A leading global investment bank is seeking an experienced Settlements Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Business Analyst to support a critical Markets Operations transformation programme focused on T+1 settlement readiness.

This is a hands-on delivery role requiring deep operational expertise across end-to-end settlement lifecycles, strong business analysis capability, and the ability to operate across Front Office, Technology, and external market infrastructures.

You will play a key role in preparing the organisation for the transition to a shortened settlement cycle (T+1), supporting the assessment and redesign of settlement processes to ensure they are resilient, scalable, and aligned with evolving regulatory and market requirements.

  • Undertaking detailed analysis of end-to-end settlement processes to identify gaps, risks, and dependencies under T+1
  • Eliciting, documenting, and validating business requirements across Operations, Front Office, and Technology
  • Partnering with Technology to translate business requirements into functional specifications and support solution design
  • Supporting test strategy, UAT execution, and validation against T+1 requirements
  • Identifying operational bottlenecks, control gaps, and settlement risks, supporting remediation planning

Strong Settlements expertise within a sell-side / Investment Banking environment. Proven experience delivering operational change within back-office functions. Strong Business Analysis capability (requirements gathering, process mapping, gap analysis, test support). Solid understanding of settlement lifecycles across asset classes.
