We are looking for reliable, professional Class 1 (Cat C+E) & Class 2 (Cat C) HGV Drivers to join our modern fleet and support a company that truly values its drivers.

Working hours: 42 hours guaranteed with overtime paid after 42 hours. Both day and night shift options available for class 1, and day shift for class 2.

About the role:

As a Whistl HGV Driver, you’ll transport goods on pre‑planned routes using our collection‑and‑injection-to‑carrier model, giving you a structured and predictable day. You’ll represent the Whistl brand, delivering exceptional service and ensuring goods arrive on time and in perfect condition.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain HGV vehicles safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure the timely and secure delivery of goods to designated locations.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation accurately and promptly.
  • Provide exceptional customer service.
  • Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety issues.

Requirements:

  • A valid Class 1 (Cat C+E) and Class 2 (Cat C) licence and CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence). Renewal costs will be covered by Whistl.
  • Digital tachograph card.
  • Excellent driving record with no major violations or accidents and a strong knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.
  • Ability to handle physical demands.
  • Good communication skills to quickly understand instructions and liaise effectively with colleagues and customers.
  • Exceptional time‑management and organisational skills.
