About us

Magnetic Business Development is an established business development consultancy with more than twenty years of experience helping ambitious organisations grow. We work across specialist and regulated sectors, securing high-quality, qualified meetings and building lasting commercial relationships on our clients' behalf. It is important to note that we are a small strategic agency with big plans to scale.

We are now building something exciting. We are codifying our proven methodology into BizMagnet, an intelligent commercial system that combines our expertise with AI and modern technology to make business development more consistent, more measurable and more scalable. It is an exciting moment to join: established enough to be stable, ambitious enough to be building the future. Our guiding belief is simple. Technology should perform the repetitive work so that our people are free to do what people do best, building relationships and winning trust.

The opportunity

This is a rare opportunity to both run and build. We are looking for a senior revenue operations professional to take charge of revenue operations across the business today, and to architect and build the system that will make our business development repeatable and scalable for the future. You will turn twenty years of proven method into a working, technology-enabled system, rather than something that depends on individuals.

This is not a role for someone who wants to keep a funnel ticking over. We are looking for someone technically able and experienced enough to design and build the engine, and capable enough to run revenue operations while they do it. You will be central to an ambitious build, with the autonomy and the influence to match.

What you will do

  • Running revenue operations
    • CRM migration: Lead and deliver a CRM migration, for example from Salesforce to Close, cleanly and on time, protecting data integrity throughout. Or make recommendations for an alternative AI-enabled CRM solution.
    • Funnel and pipeline: Design and run the lead funnel, pipeline stages and the reporting that gives a clear, current view of revenue.
    • Lead scoring and enrichment: Build and run the signal identification, scoring and enrichment that prioritise the right opportunities and manage cost.
    • Data management: Protect the quality, structure and provenance of the data asset, working alongside the operations and data function.
  • Building the system
    • Architecture: Architect the system that turns our method into a repeatable, technology-enabled capability.
    • Build: Build the workflows, automation and scoring that make business development consistent and scalable.
    • Documentation and blueprints: Document every process carefully, working alongside our Sales Operations Coordinator, so the system runs reliably and is not dependent on any individual.
    • Continuous improvement: Use outcome data to improve the system over time.

The first phase

The role is permanent, and the first phase is built around a clear, defined outcome so that success is measurable from the outset. Working with the founder, you will agree the milestones at the start, and we will review progress together through the probationary period and beyond. By the end of the first phase, we expect the core revenue engine to be operational, the CRM migration delivered and stable, signal identification, scoring and enrichment working in practice, and the system well documented. Beyond the build, this is a continuing, senior role running and improving the system as the business grows.

What we are looking for

  • Senior revenue operations capability, able to both run operations and architect and build the system, not one or the other.
  • A hands-on builder, comfortable with CRM platforms, data, automation, scoring and integration, who delivers rather than just advises.
  • Migration experience, ideally including CRM migration, with a track record of protecting data integrity through change.
  • Outcome-focused, able to take responsibility for a defined deliverable and meet it.
  • Trustworthy with sensitive assets, and comfortable working with proprietary data, models and systems.

What success looks like

  • A revenue engine that is operational, with the CRM migration complete and stable.
  • Business development that runs consistently through the system, not through individuals.
  • A system documented well enough to run reliably without depending on any one person.
  • A data asset that is clean, structured, compliant and protected.

What we offer

  • A competitive salary of £50,000 to £70,000, depending on experience.
  • A genuinely influential role at the heart of an ambitious build.
  • The autonomy to architect and build, not just maintain.
  • A stable, established business with a clear and exciting growth plan.
  • A professional, office-based environment in Eastbourne.

To apply, please get in touch with your CV and a short note on relevant systems you have built or migrations you have led. As this role builds proprietary systems and works with sensitive data, standard confidentiality and intellectual property terms apply, as you would expect.

Pay: £50,000.00-£70,000.00 per year

Benefits: Free parking, On-site parking

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Eastbourne (East Sussex)
