This position requires up to 80% travel to our UK/EMEA customers.
Responsibilities
As the Sales Manager UK and EMEA region, you will profitably penetrate (above cost of capital) new channels and accounts, manage and grow existing revenue and focus on efforts to close incremental opportunities in this geographic region. Additionally, in this role you will design and recommend sales and marketing programs, establish short and long-term market strategies, and develop OEM relationships.
Responsibilities (e.g. KPI’s, budget, assignments):
- To support and service customers of the company, maintaining and developing relationships and business. To prospect for new beverage filtration and related business opportunities.
- Product and process knowledge in respect of supplier and customer business.
- Makes phone and personal sales calls mainly within UK/EMEA region (Extensive travel within territory).
- Prospects for business and progress it to completion.
- Price and contract negotiation
- Budgeting and forecasting with system support
- Customer related project managing
- Clear and timely communication about market(s) and customer activities
- Comply with company rules doing business
- Building and maintaining relationships at all levels within customer business.
- Providing an effective two-way conduct for communication between supplier and customer.
Qualifications
- 5-10 years direct selling/sales experience
- International sales experience – preferably in the European region
- Must be available to work flexible hours and/or a flexible schedule to accommodate customers’ business hours
- Ability to travel in EMEA region up to 80%
- Fluent English language skills essential
- Experience of price and contract negotiation in a competitive environment
- Experience of B2B sales of industrial products in speciality paper, food and beverage or related industries
Preferred skills & knowledge:
- Additional language skills in French, German, Dutch and/or Italian preferred but not necessary.
- Paper industry knowledge/Food packaging knowledge/Tea Industry preferred
