We’re looking for a highly organized and customer-focused individual to join our team. This is a varied role combining customer service, order management, and production planning, where you’ll play a key part in ensuring we deliver excellent service while keeping operations running smoothly. You’ll be at the center of communication between customers, planning, and operations—ensuring orders are processed efficiently, issues are resolved quickly, and plans stay on track. This is a maternity cover Fixed Term Contract expected to end 31 October or earlier if the post holder returns sooner.

Location: CF44 6AD

Hours per week: 40, 8:00 to 4:30 with 30 min unpaid break

The successful candidate will be required to prove their right to work in the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Care
    • Manage customer orders from receipt through to delivery
    • Handle customer queries and complaints, ensuring prompt resolution
    • Raise quotes, credits, and invoices accurately
    • Communicate delays and manage customer expectations
    • Monitor open orders and highlight any risks to delivery targets
    • Maintain price lists and system data
    • Update logistics plans and internal reporting
  • Production Planning
    • Run stock reports and support demand planning
    • Create and maintain production schedules
    • Provide lead times for out-of-stock items
    • Monitor plans daily and elevate potential delays
    • Support daily operational updates and reporting
  • Procurement Support
    • Raise and process purchase orders
    • Set up and maintain supplier records

Qualifications

  • Strong customer service experience with a proactive approach
  • Confident communicator (phone and email)
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong IT skills, particularly Excel
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g. NAV or similar) desirable
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
